As of 1 June 2022, the Green Pass or other equivalent certification is no longer required for entry or re-entry into Italy.
The Italian Ministry of Health extended the provisions on the use of respiratory protective devices until 30 April 2023.
Workers, patients and visitors to health and social-welfare facilities, including hospitality and long-term care facilities, health care residences, hospices, rehabilitation facilities, residential facilities for the elderly, including those who are not self-sufficient, are required to wear FFP2 masks indoors.
The following categories of people are not required to wear masks:
- children under the age of six;
- people with pathologies or disabilities incompatible with the use of the mask,
- people who have to communicate with a person with a disability incompatible with the use of a mask.
However, it is recommended to wear respiratory protective devices in all public indoor places.
