WHERE TO APPLY FOR A VISA
The visa application must be submitted in accordance with the consular district in which the applicant has their permanent place of residence.
The consular jurisdiction of this Consulate covers the provinces of Anhui, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, and the Municipality of Shanghai.
Applicants who do not reside within this consular district should, depending on their permanent place of residence, apply through the Italian Consulates/IVAC Visa application Centres in Guangzhou, Chongqing, Shanghai, or Beijing, and/or at the Visa Application Centres located in the following cities: Xi’An, Chengdu, Wuhan, Shenyang, Kunming, Jinan, Hangzhou, Nanjing, Fuzhou, Shenzhen and Changsha.
Visa applications must be submitted at one of the Italy Visa Application Centres (IVACs) located within this consular district, namely in Shanghai, Nanjing, and Hangzhou.

Popolare Cinese Holders of Diplomatic, Service, or Public Affairs Passports of the People’s Republic of China
Under Chinese regulations, all Chinese citizens holding diplomatic, service, or public affairs passports must submit their visa application through the Consular Affairs Department of the competent Foreign Affairs Office, which will subsequently forward the application documents to the designated processing office.
