Italian citizens residing abroad as well as citizens of other nationalities residing in the consular district of the Consulate General of Italy in Shanghai can request the Italian codice fiscale (tax identification number), the first part of the tax PIN code and the password to access “Fisconline”.
TAX IDENTIFICATION NUMBER
The Italian codice fiscale can be requested by filling in the dedicated form, to which a copy of the Italian passport or identity document must be attached. The request must be sent by email to the address ➡ shanghai.sociale@esteri.it.
TAX PIN CODE
The PIN code of the Agenzia delle Entrate is a personal number that grants access to one’s own tax account, as well as to the Fisconline and Entratel portals, in order to use the online services of the Italian Revenue Agency.
The PIN consists of two parts: the first part and the initial password to access “Fisconline” are required after registering on the Agenzia delle Entrate website.
After verifying that one’s address is updated in the A.I.R.E. database, users need to request a validation of their application by sending an email to ➡ shanghai.sociale@esteri.it and attaching a copy of the request made on the Agenzia delle Entrate platform with the relative file number and a copy of one’s identity document.
If the validation request is accepted and the applicant is AIRE-registered, the Consulate will provide the applicant with the first 4 digits of the PIN code, with the password for the first online access and with the instructions for obtaining the second part of the code. Applicants not registered with AIRE must instead go personally to the Consulate, with a valid ID document.
